      Teacher, Teddy Bears
Hello! My name is Arletha Towns, and I’m a teacher for the much-beloved Teddy Bear Twos classroom. With more than 20 years of experience within the education field and more than 8 years as a PFS teacher, I’m committed to the health, well being, and happiness of your precious youngster. Like all our teachers here at PFS, I am certified in both CPR and First Aid. I am also devoted to lifelong learning, and use my continuing education credits to do so. I have 35 ECE units so far, and I’m enjoying every moment. I have two daughters and a grandson myself, so I understand what parents are feeling when they entrust their son or daughter to my care. It’s a tremendous responsibility and I feel my true calling in life to help your child develop a better sense of their own talents, skills and abilities.
What a joy it is to watch a little one ask questions and discover their own answers by exploring the world around them!

Welcome to Pacific Friends School! My name is Guadalupe Guzman. I enjoy teaching in the Teddy Bears Twos classroom because it’s an opportunity to introduce kids to education the right way, by making it fun, meaningful and positive. You’d be surprised how much little ones enjoy learning when they feel safe and supported!
I started my career as a student at Cal State University Los Angeles, where I graduated with a degree in Child Development. With CPR and First Aid certification, I’ve been working with preschool and older children for more than 8 years. I’ve been at PFS now for more than 2 years, and have loved every moment of it.
I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know each and every one of my amazing students, and look forward to a long and productive career within the field of developmental education.

      Teacher, Hippity Hoppers

Hi, my name is Cindy Fan. I am a teacher for the pre-K’s classroom. I have a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Art Studio in addition to ECE units and a site supervisors permit. I am first aid and CPR certified. After working in the field of graphic design for many years, I decided it was time for a change and went back to school to acquire an education in Early Childhood.

I enjoy teaching young children because this is an opportunity where I can provide valuable life lessons, developmental skills, and positive encouragement that children can utilize into adulthood. I feel its important to provide a warm loving and motivating environment where children can grow, learn and develop. I believe children should not be afraid of their individuality and unique self. It is so rewarding to see a child succeed at skills we have developed in them through our curriculum. I love encouraging children to keep trying, never give up and always try something at least once before saying you don’t like it.
