Teacher, Before and After and Summer programs
Hello, my name is Lisa Ellison and I teach the Before & After School Program and Summer Camp (K thru 6th grade). I have been working here at PFS for over 4 years. I came to PFS after almost 14 years as a Physical Education teacher here in the valley. Growing up in Arcadia, I am a San Gabriel Valley native. For more than 10 years, I have lived in Monrovia with my husband Ben. I feel very lucky to work so close to my home! I received my Associate’s degree in Liberal Studies from Citrus Community College, and earned my Bachelors of Science with an emphasis in Kinesiology from Cal State LA. I am also First Aid and CPR Certified.

I have always enjoyed working with children. This job allows me to do so much in such a variety of ways. I help with homework, plan games, crafts and cooking activities…even choreograph dance routines! It has been so rewarding to watch the children learn, create and use their imaginations on a daily basis.

Our children bring so much talent, energy and joy to our days. I really do love my job.

Hi, my name is Marlies Moreno and I have worked for PFS since 2007. I maintain our office needs, I teach the Before & After School Program and am a Summer Camp Aide. I operated a licensed Home Day Care Facility for infants thru Kindergarten for 16 years. I Attended PCC for my required classes, attended workshops and conferences, etc., and I am First Aid & CPR Certified. Once my two children began attending school I volunteered at the school to help with the before and after school programs and started to really enjoy it. So much in fact I stayed on and am involved in many operations at the school.

I was born in Ellwangen, Germany and immigrated to the United States at the age of 11. My husband Tom and I have been married for 45 years and we have two wonderful children. I spent 19 years working as a Sales Administration manager, but the last 7 years at PFS have truly been ideal as I am able to work with children which I love, attend to administrative work and cook those delicious lunches every day. All the things I enjoy wrapped into one.

  • If you have any questions please feel free to...

    • I have three children that I have happily sent to PFS during their pre-school years. There are so many wonderful things about the school: the loving teachers, the huge playground, the beautiful landscaping and trees, and the hand-on learning. Most importantly, my children were always happy and healthy.

    • My son loves PFS school. He’s always singing songs they learned and when he says or does something new, I’ll say, “Where’d you learn that?” and he’ll say, “At school”. PFS is a fun place for your child to begin their learning experience.
